belstein front strut rebuilt question??
Hi guys .
got all the bushings and seals to rebuilt my front struts . have a few questions . removed the top cap and there is pink Grease is that the way it came from factory? should one of the bearing be on top and the other 4 inches down? thanks guys . |

Yes, they are spaced apart. It is not rocket science to mm precision, but you are trying to support the inner rod at both ends.
Prob pay to measure what you have for spacing and replicate. I did do a write up on this forum a couple of yrs ago when I did mine. getting the old ones out was the trick. Alan

Might help to ask in the 911 tech forum if you need more info. A bunch of folks in Austin did theirs a year or two back but I didn't get any pictures of the tool or method.
