If you have not messed around with C/R then it’ll be 9.5:1. Safe for 10psi (intercooled).

Here is an old chart I had in my file. Porsche built their early turbos with 6.5:1 on CIS. Many have pushed that successfully to 8.5:1 with efi.
9.5:1 at 10psi shows 16:1 Effective Compression Ratio.
Good luck!

It is safe when considering things like turbine housing (which affects MAP/EBP ratio which itself is directly related to sensitivity to knock), how one tunes ignition table etc. If you are using factory Motronic with its advance table then you can be quite sure you get knock.

Have fuel and ignition under control and enjoy. Turbocharging is not for experimenting, better to know what to do but it is very rewarding.

What did your project run you in parts? I have been looking into the Promotive Stage 1 kit.

Great job on your project.

Dieter9,
Good job adding a turbo along with VEMS and those are nice looking wheels!

Are you still maintaining contact with Peep? If yes, can you find out if all is well with him? It seems he dropped off the planet since he has not responded to my emails for over a month. I ordered and paid for a full optioned VEMS kit including complete harness (not a PNP) from Peep 3 months ago. So, I'm kind of worried what happened to him.

No I have not received it yet. A month ago Peep said he was half way done with the harness and that was the last I heard from him. Please let me know once you hear back from him and I'll do the same here.

I got an email from Peep. All is well with Peep...he got really busy with life over the past month. He said he hopes to ship my kit within 2 weeks (not completed now).
