don't mess with electric fans. Your mechanical engine fan will move WAY more air - try ducting.
also try methanol injection- the methanol/water mix will lower your intake temps after your inter cooler (I have several kits from Devils own methanol injection) inject after the intercooler. methanol/water mix will also increase the octane of your Gasoline. one more trick is to add an extra nozzle to spray methanol/water on the outside of your intercooler one final trick- IF - you have a really modified engine and you are using really big nozzles - you need to add some oil to your methanol/water mix so it does not wash down your cylinder's I use Kolts racing castor oil ' BeNOL' it is refined and de-gummed. (you can do this for regular installations just for the smell) I have had several boosted motors on this and when I tear them down - NO gum build up , no nothing the inside looks clean....and no smoke you just add a little. And the biggest befit - when on the boost it smells like Castor oil and I get thumbs up from the sport bike guys or anyone who I pass or is following me. |

Yeah, methanol injection would be great.
I used an intercooler about 2x that size at .7 and feel safe, but I have a 3.8 tail. I agree that the electric fans would be of little benefit unless they were radiator sized, and those would be a rough fit.

Why does it seem like it's very simple to boost these engines..?
I should not be considering it but it's hard not to!!

Can you talk more about the ecu? What exactly did you do there? Also did you not add a fuel pressure regulator?
Also have you considered a maf conversion? Thanks |

MAP is built into ECU, you only need to run vacuum line from intake (tee it from FPR vacuum line) to ECU.
Intake temp sensor comes with the kit and uses short adapter cable that allows to plug it to AFM engine side plug (AFM is not needed). Kit also includes WBO2 sensor wnd wiring and proper throttle position sensor with special adapter cable (that converts 3pin female JPT plug from TPS to one male JPT 2pin and male 3pin JPT plug) so that cutting of factory engine harness is not needed and everything is easily reversed to stock if needed.

Hey again,
Can you explain a little more on the oil feed and drain setup. I see the turbokraft feed line, but you mentioned a 930 to block adapter, I'm not familiar. And on the drain side, do you see a need for an accumulator? And finally where did you terminate the oil drain tube at? Thanks for your time. Trying to wrap my head around everything I need. |

That seems like a very big turbo for the boost you are running. I’d guess boost will come on later but it will run very efficiently up top. |

Boost level has nothing to do with turbo size, turbo is chosen according to engine displacement, compression ratio, rpm range etc.
Air cooled 911 engine cannot be paired with small turbo, it creates huge backpressure and anemic powerband (=like diesel engine), not to mention most important thing, knock treshold will be very soon btd.

Interesting project, what's the compression ratio? and what cam?
