Fuchs query

Is the Fuchs offset on a 951 front wheel the same as the 930? Are the wheels interchangeable? Read somewhere hinting they may be.
Alan

Awesome, thanks.
So that would mean if I found a 951 16x8 Fuchs, I would have another 12mm inboard rubber (and 12mm more clearance on the fender lip).
And a 12mm spacer would get me back to the 930 rim position?
Regards
Alan

I can’t say for sure since every car can fit slightly different but you typically use an 8” 944 Fuchs (compared to an 8” 911 Fuchs) to get an extra inch of clearance behind the fender lip.

That makes sense, the rim is offset on the 915, further inboard. (1/2")
I was looking at trying to get my 7" 930 Fuchs widened by 1", to get an 8" rim. It does not appear feasible in my country. But it also shifts the ET another 25mm inboard, since they add to the inner rim.
The 951 rim would be a better compromise.
Thanks
Alan

OE 9x16 ET15 930 rear Fuchs will fit the front of the later thick hub 930 just fine. I've done this on a couple cars, it's a bolt on.
951 8x16 fit the front of a 911, which us a common swap.

Thanks Brian.
I recently purchased a set of 930 Fuchs (off the F/S site here). Having trouble finding appropriate race rubber to fit the 7" front. Need an 8".
Hoosier only offering 2 vintage sizes in 16" rims.
Regards
Alan

The front wheel offset on the 951 (944 Turbo) and the 930 (911 Turbo) are not identical, but they are close enough that with the right modifications, they could be interchanged under certain conditions.

To break it down:

930 Front Wheel Offset: The 930 typically runs a 23mm offset for the front wheels.

951 Front Wheel Offset: The 944 Turbo uses a 23mm offset as well on its early model wheels, but it can sometimes vary slightly depending on the specific wheel and generation.

So, in terms of actual measurements, they’re pretty close. However, even small changes in offset can affect things like wheel alignment, suspension geometry, and handling, especially if you're running a car that’s modified or track-focused like yours.
