Hi guys, sorry for such a dumb sounding question, but I am about to pull the trigger on a new B&B I/C....but before I do I want to know if there are going to be any negative end results in throttle response, specifically increased turbo lag.
Engine is stock, except for a B&B Twin-out muffler and a K&N. The car is a '83 Euro 930 so it has no cat or other smog equip. and has the original Euro headers. The new I/C is going to be the B&B "bolt in" unit so a/c remains intact. Any help is appreciated !!! Thanks ![]()

You aren't dramatically increasing the surface area of the IC, so I would think throttle response would be the same. IF there were any changes, it would probably be negligible.

There are no dumb questions here... we are ALL here to learn and share knowledge
![]() BTW: Smart move going to a better more efficient IC. The OEM unit is a piece of crapola ![]() Try to convince the good lady wife to go with a nice set of aftermarket headers... it'll dramatically improve street performance and she'll find it nicer and easier to drive... she'll also be able to wax those sleaze buckets that come up next to her at the lights ![]()

I asked Bell Intercoolers the same question about my monster intercooler. They asked how long it'd been since I drove my car. When I told them a few months, they said I'd never notice.
I'm sure there's some increase in lag, but this is one area where it's a good tradeoff.

I ran the B&B on my car for several months, in fact I bought it from 125Shifter on this board and installed it in one day...absolutely ZERO difference in lag or throttle response, you can safely shelf any concerns. Its a great IC!
