The Old Sled is Alive
Well it's been a long while since I've posted.
I guess it was my turn in the barrel because I have spent just a little over a year with everything that could go wrong going wrong and I have had to just dig in, keep my head down, and outlast it. The Sled is done and is everything I could have hoped for. The start up went sideways right off the bat. I had bought a "slightly used" K27S Turbo with 700 miles on it and it went tits up in the first drive out. I had resealed the scavenge pump, replaced all the oil lines to and from the Turbo, pumped up the oil pressure, tested the flow through the system and took the Old Girl out for a easy does it test drive. As luck would have it the turbo took a dump and I foged the country side all the way home. Called the Turbo God and he sent me a new Garret GSX61, absolutely awsome turbo. With my gear set and R&P the car has zero lag, it's seriously quick. I posted today because of my long lusting for an original 934/35 manual boost controller I can't believe they are $1,600. It costs a lot more money than I can spare. I have wanted one for some 30 years and it's obvious that's not happening. Slow forward to the present I have gone back to my old ways if you can't afford it , make it. An old original installed controller: ![]() A Pressure Regulator 0-30 PSI bought 2 on Evil Bay for $18.00 ![]() A Little Paint & Polish ![]() installed between the seats for easy access

Understood. I am just full EFI and wanted to have the most safe guards as possible with added drivability. Looking to control top and bottom port of the wastegate with a boost solenoid. Not open and close control per-say but open and "hold" closed for added boost control/pressure for spool up, closing the wastegate quicker with less bleed off.

Now, if Paul had written the above sentence -
![]() I always enjoy seeing your posts, Cole! The Old (Man's) Sled sounds like a real wood-producer now (who needs those blue pills, right?!?!), and really cool work on the boost controller replica! ![]() PS- yer posts look grammatically sound, my friend - well done!!!

Only problem now is that your car is way too clean. To be more like that 934 you need work a lot more dirt and wear in your carpet. Get to it!

Looks good Dave! The polished brass and allen heads make it look a lot better then it did before. I'm looking forward to hear how well it works.

Every time I see a "keep it stock", or valuation-obsessed thread/post, I always think to myself how I wish Cole was around more often to drop some nuggets of non-politically-correct wisdom on those subjects. Don't know how many people over here look at the 911 forum, but from time to time, there are threads on the subject of tails, and plenty of limp-Richards sound off about how they think a tail on any 911 is "boy racer" and/or "ricer", well, every now and then Cole sees those type treads & posts and will post up a picture of his car with the ginormouns tail in all its awesomeness, coupled with fitting commentary - always makes me laugh!

Paulie,
Just remembered your working out of the house now, I give you a call. soon. Jesper, It's nice to be back, and I saw a pic of your car !!!! It's Absolutely Killer !!!!! Tonger, Thanks !!!! It's good for me to be back, I missed all you Bums. Ronnie, Thanks man but don't get to acustomed to the grammatically correct part. Zakthor, Don't worry bout that, it washes up easily and I drive it like I stole it. Mikie, No problem with the lack of political or social correctness, I are what I are !!!!! Come see the old guy this year will ya !!!! Jimmer, Thanks buddy comming from you that means a lot to me. Ronnie, Ronnie, Ronnie. My first post back and your setting me up for those lovely notes I always get from our host. I enjoy every Porsche ever made regardless of who owns or how it is used but I also hate it when some limp dick purist starts trashing those of us who choose to enjoy our cars. There is nothing I enjoy more than making my buddies scream like little girls. I am fortunate enough to own one of the most iconic sports car ever made and I often drive it like I stole it and The Sled likes it as much as I do. When I'm dead my wife is going to have my grandson come over and take me for rides. I'm making a nice 4 point harness for the jar I'll be in. Cole

Good see'n you post Cole!!! I have to old dial a death myself.. Wouldn't trade it for any EBC. I have the expensive but cheap plastic Turbonetics MBC. If I could find a 935 MBC for a good price I'd have my grubby hands all over it! I shoulda bought one off eBay a few years back for $250, Oh well..
