Very nice, indeed (understatement award winning comment). I so love to see someone really pour their heart into the engine compartment...for me this is the real soul!

That intake reminds me of a custom "one-off" assemby that Neil Harvey of Performance Developments created for a high dollar project he was involved in. I'll see if I can find a picture.

sand_man 12-14-2007 03:51 PM

I don't wish to hi-jack your thread by littering it with a bunch of pictures, so more info (pics) of the Performance Developments intake are here, if you're interested:

He also created a billet injector block that sort of resembled the the stock one.

Whew...! now that is just plain mechanical sex appeal!

cgmeredithjr: I was wondering how this project was moving along as I hadn't seen anything posted in awhile. The Green 934 replica was an Ase Bros built car and was for sale either last year or earlier this year.. had a buddy that was bidding on ebay for it. Lot of authentic and rare parts on that thing. Think it went overseas somewhere.
Good luck with this project.. it should be awesome!

gtu935: Nice porn man... I tell you guys are gonna get some cash outta me yet! Noticed the modded center bearing in pic 12.. nice.

Looked for you gus this year at the Summit Point PCA Club Race.

Keep the pics coming on this build, they're very motivational! Think I'll head to the garage now!

GTU935 do you have any more pics of the vacuum manifold? Nice looking part.

Cheers

As for the dipped body, what did they apply to keep it from rusting until it's powder coated?

h20cooled7 12-15-2007 06:21 PM

that green 934 is wicked nice

On Boost. Sorry we couldn't make the Summit race this past year. The date came too close to races before and after the date of the Summit weekend. we'll try to get there this year. We've been racing at CMP for the past few years. You should put that one on your schedue. It's worth the ride.

We'll post some more engine pictures this week as the engine assembly progress continues

Completely bad-a$$. Micke Sven is the man, but if his flat-fan set up costs anything like his other stuff, prepare to call your broker.

juicersr 12-17-2007 06:01 AM

Per email from Micke, 'approximately' euro 21,500 for the complete flat fan set up once finished:eek: Last i heard 'special wishes' would make one for 'only' 12,000 or so. For those interested, i have been following the progress of Mike Harris of Promotive porsche engineering down under for the last 2 years, as he has been working the bugs out of his version, which should be more cost effective.

It seems that re- or even reverse engineering the technical marvel which was the factory flat fan set-up is no easy task.

Understand all that scheduling stuff... I missed a number of good events this year myself. I'll have to check out CMP.. as I haven't made it up there yet... maybe this year.

Look forward to some of those pics and will be in touch as I begin to move forward on a couple pf engine projects!

Good Luck!

I sent him an email as well. 21500 euros is correct and at todays exchange rate that equates to $30,000 US. YIKES
