Turbo Conversion Vacuum source locations
Hey guys I have been working on finishing the install of my M&K turbo kit and I have a few questions.
I have a 3.2 intake and I was wondering where i should run vacuum lines for the BOV, WG, and distributor? On the back of the TB there are two ports on top of each other and right now I put the rubber Y on so that one line will go to the dampener and the other to FPR (like the factory). The one on top will be used for the MAP on the MS2. Where else should I connec the other items? I think I have some larger ports for the brake booster(?) I am assuming this is not needed. Do I just cap those? Thanks for the help. J. ![]()

Thanks Jerry, I noticed a pic in an older post you created that you have (or had) a vac line running from one of those ports to the thermo valve.
Do you still have it set up this way or are you no longer using the T.V.? Thanks Again, Jeremy

I run the WG off of the turbo housing that has 1/8NPT fitting on it. Everything else runs to the TB fittings with the exception of the brake booster which connects to the 3.2 intake

Thanks!
What is the brake booster for and, is that something I will need to set up?

you mean the slug with the two nipples on the TB? no i don't have anything connected there. I Haven't since the beggining. There are enough stock locations on the TB for everything including a signal line for a gauge without making any new holes in the TB.
If you need any pics let me know, I'll be home next week Ben's talking about a bung on the turbo itself, the advantage is that it's very close to the WG |

Yeah, that is the Thermo valve, maybe you did not post that pic or it was pre-turbo kit. Anyway, I will take a look at how many locations I have tomorrow. The problem is that I lose one for the megasquirt, unless I "t" it.
So I need three spots; BOV, MS2, and Distributor. Did he have to tap a bung into his turbo? Yes pics are always helpful, thanks!

I have seen the fitting, but am unsure what would connect there.
What then do I exactly need for the brakes? What would I connect that line to? Would I connect to something existing on my car, or will something have to be made? Thanks

its in your engine compartment already. It runs from the front brake booster to the engine compartment on the driver side

Got it! For some feasons I thought there were multiple ports for the booster, but I see that there is only one on the manifold.
Is there such thing as a vacuum port "reducer" so that I can use the larger port on the TB (that I believe was for the air valve) and run a smaller line to the fitting on the BOV? Where to source one?

What category is that hose in? Or part number? There are many to chose from.
What should I do on the intake side on the AAR? I know you mentioned to find a filter and the only place I have seen that one is through K&N; a pit pricey. Thanks!

I pic of the back of your TB and where your vac lines go would be helpful. I think I have it all soted out, but pics do speak a thousand words...
Where do you have you wastegate line plumbed to? I think I will tap into the cold side of the turbo housing vut am concerned about metal shavings into the compressor. Thanks Jerry!
