I just bought this bastard project...
I know many around here have real 930 and pristine ones also around... I understand im way far from that...but any way since this is a Turbo Charging Forum i guess i can get some help getting the best possible out of this one... So Im posting some pictures please if some one knows this project and can help me retrieve some data or records or experiences will be welcome... As far as i know this is a 930 engine with some adaptations and a 930 tranny, but if some one else has a tip on what you see, let me know... Breaks i guess are stock, as far as other stuff you can see or find will be very well recieved....upgrades?, fittings, red flags welcome... The car runs great, pulls strong and has no known issues, the engine feels and sounds remarkably smooth, i have a 78 SC that seems an old tractor next to this engine...one of the reasons i bought it... Feel free to speak your minds... MiCk.. Here it is.. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Welcome, you'll find LOTS of help here. No matter if your car is pristine or a project. There are plenty of both here. My first suggestion would be to spend a couple of weeks searching the 911/930 forums and reading as much as possible. Then let the questions fly. Welcome aboard.
P.S. Let us know your location as there are plenty on the boards that are more than willing to help with any project you have.

BTW, what's the angle iron piece doing? Is it holding a broken intercooler down?

Does that car have a duck tail by chance? The intercooler hold-down looks familiar.
Looks like he tranny has been rebuilt recently. More pictures? Don't worry about the bastard, you're in good company. ![]()

Yes, I've seen this car before.
The odd hold down replaced the stock mounting bolt that was on the stock BOV which has been removed. The intercooler has been modified to fit under the duck. Very cool ideas on this car, you just need to clean it up so it looks better (such as the exposed bolts on the bumper).

Smog Test...
In here i found a nice thread about the smog test..
Beating Smog test with performance mods Many advices and options, im learning and finding a way to do that.. The car was sitting for over a year, so i want to find out first if anything needs attention on the engine or other parts... There is a part of that thread that states that cars 25 years or older are exempt..im finding out...mine is a 75s...
