How much is it? Why bother?
The Bosch 044 motorsport pump is $199 US brand spanking new and rated 200 litres per/hour @ 5 bar. It comfortably exceeds specifications according to most tuners, flowing considerably more than most "300 litre per/hour" pumps, and performing much, much better than those when regulated to the higher pressures CIS requires. It fits in the stock 911 front location (it's slightly longer than the stock pump) with only minor modifications (electrical connectors, hose and uprated fuse).

Aero pump
I have installed an ATL fuel bladder - for Silver State event - with the fuel supply now needing to be lifted from from the bottom of the tank sump. Don't know if stock front pump will do the job since it is gravity fed. Pressure check of existing pumps seems soft at 3.5 bar - I believe it should be closer to 5 bar but have not found literature with proper test pressure numbers. Thats why I am curious about the Aeromotive pumps. Besides, if I can eliminate my two existing pumps and replace them with only one Aeromotive it follows that there would be 50% lesser chance of component failure, one less potential problem. I am a strictly amateur punter, obviously, so need all the help I can get. Thanks - EPS

Is this pump - The Bosch 044 motorsport pump - used singularly or in tandem with rear pump too? If both are used what would the litres/hr and BAR be?
Thanks - EPS

Found problem
My pumps didn't pump since ATL forgot to put pick-up line and duck foot inside my new fuel cell. AN fitting on top accessed only air inside of tank. Removed fill plate for a look and found the pickup was never installed. EPS

Just curious - and I'll piss-off if I'm hi-jacking - but has anyone replaced their fuel pumps just because? Or do we typically wait for something to go wrong? With a daily driver, I really try to stay ahead of things. Just wanted to get your thoughts...I can always start a new thread.

I have had excellent results with a Walbro GSL392 $120US - 255liters /hr. One of these replaced 2 of the old Bosch's. I do have EFI now though. Two pumps may still be needed with CIS.

If you use this pump in tandem with the stock rear, both maximum pressure and maximum flow capacity go up - all Bosch pumps can be used in tandem. WydRyde has two 044's on his monster, one front and one rear.

So I fitted an 044 as insurance when I bolted on all the goodies. The brand new pump sounds exactly like the original one did. So much for that...

Mine, or at least one of them was noisy on my 930. Guess I'll leave well alone then
