Yes. Good catch, that’s another Special Wishes item during this time period.

I think the 930 SE's are the best of the lot of slantnoses. They were an official U.K. factory option in '86, so they had part numbers for every piece on the vehicle. I had a PET CD that I purchased shortly after I purchased my slant in '98. I found all the SE part numbers at the end of 911 section for that year range. I lost that CD in one of my relocations. If anybody has that copy of the PET, I will gladly pay you for a copy of it.

Also, they came standard with the High Performance engine rated at 330 BHP.

Those are the greatest 930 variants, they only have one major problem. The steering wheel and the pedals are on the wrong side of the car.

Well....
You'd be surprised. I know I was! Keep in mind this is a Sonderwunsch Flachbau that was touched by Canepa and it's ultra low mileage (for shame!) and ultra sanitary. Sold at RM Sotheby's in 2018.

Sonderwunsch Flachbau sold at auction

Finally bought the Car!

Hi Dave, thank you so much for your help as well as the others, hope you are much better now with your health issues.
I finally decided to purchase the car as it seems it is a original sonderwush Porsche, i still have to verify this with Porsche Classic as you suggested, but your tips really helped me with this decision, i still have to wait a couple of months to have it with me but i promise i will send some pictures to have your toughts on this, and i will also need some help on putting it back to life after 10 years on storage.
Ill keep you guys informed,

A lot has changed since this thread was first started, namely in the determination of factory slants built during the Sonderwunsch Program. I had been in contact with a gentleman in Germany who is head of the marketing group for the Porsche Classic over a year ago and there have been records uncovered on the work group in Zuffenhausen Werk I responsible for Sonderwunsch modifications. I don't know how much detail can be provided, but when I contacted him with my VIN of my slant, he verified it was indeed a Sonderwunsch Slantnose. I contacted Porsche North America, responsible for the Certificate of Authenticity, to revisit the records and sure enough the VIN came back as the real deal.
I would suggest you contact Porsche(link to form below) and attempt the same thing. The CoA costs a little over a $100 and I would think the current owner would buy it from you considering how much value that little document adds to the value of the car, if you decide not to buy the car after a Pre Purchase Inspection.

Porsche Club of America link to CoA I suggest you call them to let them know you think it's a Special Wishes car. They may have to reach out to Germany to get the necessary info.

Good luck to you. As you see by my signature below, I own an '85 Slant and think it's a fantastic car.

Finally started install of these. Assume my fenders are aftermarket(Steel). Housings fit really nice. If you have front mount oil cooler, passenger side will need to be notched for line clearance. Factory M505 had the cooler in rear fender. Should have pics next weekend.

Wheel Housing Install

Wheel housings fit pretty good. They come with 2 holes drilled but felt there needed to be at least 1 more for a third point of fastening. Used a simple 90 degree bracket and mounted to existing fender/valance bracket. Maybe with stock valance something ties in on outside for fastening? The headlights & mechanism are now protected. Housings are light & plenty ridgid. Good tire clearance on full lock.

That’s how I got it from previous owner. My rim/tire setup are far from rubbing those lines. Larger front cooler & new hoses coming soon. Think current cooler is made by Hayden? Looks exactly like this one. Does seem to work ok though.

So I thought I would post this to the thread based on the historical information related to the inception of the original Sonderwunsch Programme

A week or so ago, I understand that Mansour Ojjeh passed away. Who was he you ask?

"Mansour Ojjeh was the French-Saudi businessman that is said to have persuaded Porsche to build the one-off Porsche 935 Strassenversion (street version) that gave rise to the Special Wishes Program or Sonderwunsch Programme. A highly influential individual who was part of the Tag-McLaren F1 Team and Tag Heuer success stories. Definitely someone who left their mark." Cr: Porsche Archive

^^ Regarding the wheel.. these were the original steering wheels used by the factory on all European "special" vehicles of the era, not just the slantnose. They could also be ordered in the US through your local dealer's parts dept. Typically referred to as the 930s wheel.

At some point in the late 80's (88-89?) Alan Johnson Racing obtained some type of exclusive rights to the distribution of these wheels and other "special" parts. (My guess is because they were prepping to move to airbag wheels as the 964 was being ushered in.)

So the part number that I know of is AJR 347 859 and they were roughly $350 when new. They were available in black, blue, brown, burgundy and champagne which you have. This is of course unless your car was ordered with the wheel matching another specific interior color.
