How to hook up RPM to SSI-4
I have an Innovate SSI-4 and LC-1 combination to be used for measuring AFR, RPM, Boost, Volts, and eventually crank position. I've got everything figured out except how to hook it up to measure RPM. Has anyone done this? I need to pick up RPM+ and RPM- to input #1 on the SSI-4. Would I simply tap the tach wire and the ground wire at the CDI?

For anyone that might search in the future. I hooked the Channel 1+ to the purple/black wire at the CDI and the Channel 1- to the brown wire at the CDI. Works perfect.

Sorry I didn't see this earlier. I could have chimed in about the tach wire (black/purple). Didn't know the other one.

No problem. I was pretty sure about which wires to tap when I posted this but just wanted confirmation. I finally got around to working on this more.

...and if anyone else goes looking for that purple/black tach signal wire it's wayyy skinnier than the rest of the wires coming out of the connector plug under the CD box making it easier to indentify.
