I am so happy with this car. I have driven the car only twice and I can say that I LOVE this car!!! This is truly a drivers car. I love the road feel and sounds and smells and vibrations. I hesitate to say this but I think I like it better than my 996TT. When parked next to my 996, I must say it is a better looking car. Curvier hips, wide rear and very aggressive looking. I am thrilled and cannot stop going into the garage to look at it.

Really is nothing like a black/black 930 with them Ruf wheels, amber rear indicators, and tinted windows IMO. Add M505 and sport seats FTMFW!

SO NICE - great score! I really dig the tail pipe treatment - I 'think' that's Ruf IIRC (duh, seyz the badge), just looks 'right' on thar.

and I don't think you need any hesitation in making your 996tt 'admission' HERE - we just got done with that thread and that's a widely known FACT! 8-)

Agreed, going out to the garage to just oogle it will nevereverever get old. Sadly mine got evicted for winter storage as I abhoar scraping cars in the winter - I miss going to my beer fridge and wooing at it endlessly 8-(.

Thanks guys! I have been doing tons of reading and research on this forum. I will drive the car for a while, then start with exhaust/headers,IC just t get here breathing better. Tough decisions, lots of nice stuff out there. Suggestions always welcome of course.

FYI, black really is the fastest color.

I'm certainly no expert on later 930's, and even less so on the slantnose, but that center console looks unique. Any chance you can post more pics of that?

Has anyone else seen a console like that in a pre-1990 930 or 911? It looks like an excellent solution to keeping a/c controls, but having room for aux. gauges.

Also: Is that shifter shortened?

I was going by the muffler, assuming it is as delivered stock.
Check out the slantnose thread. They have detailed everything there.

The enhanced engine package had dual exhausts like the one pictured below. The left side exhaust tips you see come off the wastegate while the passenger side had the same tips coming off the muffler.
Maybe you have a Ruf modded 3.4L engine?

I would like to know how you compare the cars after you get a chance to break in the 930.

I think the 930 probably has everything that is missing in the 996TT, and vice versa...
