new to 930 forum
Hello, I too have been lurking for some time and have learned quite a bit about 930's from you guys. I have built many 911 rs replicas over the years but this is my first 930. Does anyone know my car? It is a Euro 1982 930 with an Andial 3.5 liter engine,IA Sc cams,Setrab oil cooler. I can not believe that it still has the K26 and factory Intercooler though. I have been very impressed with the power an pull of this Porsche. I sold my 2004 GT3 just a few months ago because I enjoy the 930 more. This car was built by Vincent Loccisano in MA. Here are a few pics.

Very nice 930!
BTW, the OEM turbo is a 3LDZ, not a K26.

thanks
Thanks guys. I am looking forward to learning about intercooler/turbo set ups. The engine was built by Andial a few years back. A new set of 3.5 liter pistons and cylinders were installed, case was shuffled pinned and sc cams from Imagine Auto were installed. Rsr front and rear bumpers and 911 "r" tail lights. Fabspeed exhaust. Full rs lightweight interior. I really like the RSR and 934 look. My plan for the car.
1.Suspension upgrade... 2. New upgraded turbo 3. Full width intercooler 4. Delete: a/c, radio, side mirrors, rear wiper, alarm, sunroof 5. Rsr wing 6. H4 headlights I am looking for a great horsepower to weight ratio. The car was dynoed at 350hp with a .8 wastegate spring. A 1.0 bar spring has recently been installed. Thanks, tate |

Car looks very good! I believe that this car was in an ebay ad.
I am debating whether I like the trick rear taillights enough to get some, they save about 6 pounds but cost like $300. So I kept a picture of this car from ebay. ![]() By the way, right on about the weight savings. You will find a group of us here who really understand the concept of power to WEIGHT ratios. My 1976 is currently at 2450 lbs with full tank of gas. I have another couple hundred pounds in it before I am done...it was about 2800 when I got it. |

Welcome!
*Wicked* cool iteration some one executed there - the cues really speak to me. BAM! Just an all around waycool motif. Awesome. Seems like someone got part way through it. Your plan is spot on - H4's, sorted susp., full IC, turbo (and headers if not part of Fabspeed set up) and you're rockin'. Damn cool. Hope to see it around here some more, I won't tire of looking @ it 8-). now You fokkerz... you've got me contemplating ways of er 'feeding' mine - sell TR3, hock left nut, etc. Bastids! |

correct
DDDD, You are correct. I bought this car on ebay about 5 months ago. I actually bid on this car two years ago and was second in line. I saw it come back up and had to have it. I have rebuilt engines in the past and don't want that bill again!!! I wanted a really bulletproof engine and ANDIAL are the guys to go with. I have built 3 lightweight RS replicas in the past few years as well as a GT3. My father went to Germany in 1986 and bought a 1978 silver 930. He picked it up at the port in Charleston and drove it back to Atlanta with the Euro plates on the car....spent a few hours in jail trying to explain them. The car was sent to Fanz Blam in Atlanta to have the engine built. I actually learned how to drive a stick shift on a 78 Franz Blam 930 and have always had an infatuation for these cars. Looking forward to learning the right way to set this car up. tate

I have been thinking of going with black 911R tailights to contrast the rest of my car which is red. Also, a black carbon fibre rear reflector strip. I have a lot of other stuff to do on the car before getting to the taillights. In fact my list is similiar to tate's: Delete: a/c (done already), radio, side mirrors, rear wiper (done already), alarm (none) , sunroof. Also for me, lexan windows and blower delete and a couple other goodies. I am considering a race hood with bolts, if it will look righteous. I like the way tate thinks. Love the R Tail lights - glad to see more people with them and the "church of light weight" methodology
