I just recently bought a 1983 European Version 930. I was a previous owner of a 1986 Carrera. I ve noticed that most Turbo parts are for US versions so I need some help regardin some items that I need to buy for my new car:
spark plugs ignition wires fuel filter Distributor oil filter If anyone has idea, which year (from US versions) should fit my 1983????? Thanks |

I don't think there were any significant differences in any of those between 80 and 86. With the exception of the distributor.. I know I use the same for everything for my 79 engine and my 86. Have never replaced the distributor

The CIS and ignition are different dependent on the engine type. To get the exact parts for your car you need to identify the engine type number. For example 930/63 is a '78/9 US California engine with all the associated smog parts.
The Euro engines had a much more simple setup with more aggressive ignition curve and bigger fuel head. Filters and wires were likely the same.
