Just picked up a cheap 911 roller , have some questions

First of all hello to all, So i picked a 911 roller. Its a 1978 911, person i bought it from claimed it was a turbo. To my understanding turbo cars start out with a 930 vin? this one does not.. Also has a wide body, did they produce a 1978 "turbo look" car? Reason i ask is because there is no evidence of body work in the rear end... Trust me i looked.. Anyway thanks in advance...

ps also looking for some parts: guages, original seats (has red cloth recaro style seats), rear corner lights

Turbo cars do start with 930. I don't think there were any '78 turbo look cars.
