Prime of turbo

Could someone tell me what fuse or c/b to remove on a 92 turbo to kill the fuel pumps to allow for primming a new ball bearing turbo prior to start up ? Thanks

I thought about doing that 911st but I would have fuel squirting into engine with the pumps running. I guess I could look @ fuse panel cover and it might tell me what one controls the pumps .Just thought someone would know which one does so on a c2 turbo. Thanks

If it has an overboost sensor on the intercooler like a 930, pull the spade terminal wire off of it and the fuel pumps won't run.

6th fuse from the back and the two rear most relays run the fuel pumps on a 911/930, but I think they may have modernized the fuse panel and changed all that in the 964.

Brilliant my a$$. I did that and as it turns out the battery was so dead that it wouldn't turn engine over to prime the turbo. I charged it and spun it over to prime the turbo and hooked the wire back up and the engine dosent hit a lick! Could I test the fuel pump relay by removerng it and installing a jumper wire between terminal #30 and terminal #87 , shouldn't both pumps come on ? I might have upset something on the alarm system as the radio doesent come on also.

Your problem has nothing to do with pulling the wire off the overboost sensor. The only thing it will do is prevent the pumps from running when disconnected.
Since your radio is also dead, that's a vital clue to look elsewhere I would say. Simple but obvious question: How clean and tight are your battery connections, and the ground strap under the car connected to the transmission? And/or, the connections at the starter itself?

By your term "the engine dosent hit a lick!", what do you mean by that? Won't turn over, or won't start up?

C2Turbos do not respond well to low battery's from what I remember.

I think my alarm would go nuts when I would hook up a new battery. It took somthing like locking and unlocking the passanger door to reset it but I am not sure it that is correct.

The worst thing that ever happened was burning out the 69EZ ignition module. Brutally expensive but I found a used one and was back in business.

Pull relay R 61, which energizes the fuel pumps.

I know pulling the overboost wire off had nothing to do with the issue I am having, just kidding with J Fairman, and venting flustration after working 2 days installing the new GT Turbonetics turbo and keeping it all stock looking with everything in original location . Then when I installed the intercooler I didn't have it alligned just right and tore the red o-ring that seals it to the throttle body. Then the battery was dead ,as I did not have the battery maintainer pluged in good @ cig. lighter. And then it dosent start. I will have to read up on the alarm system as how to make sure it is not keeping it from starting. Or it could be somethiong as simple as a leak between the intercooler and CIS. Looks like I have another day to kill. I think I will jump the 61 relay terminal 30 and 87 and make sure the pumps are running and try to start again then go from there . Thanks
