How does Targa to Convertible conversion effect value?
How would a conversion of a '76 911 Targa Turbo be effected if it were converted to a convertible? Does it kill the value or increase it?

If you are concerned about 'investment' value, condition, mileage, originality and unmolested is what determines the value in a 930.

I guess I posted the wrong question. I should have asked if it would make it more desireable as a targa or convertible.
I know that an unmolested car is worth more, I used to have muscle cars and always went for stock, original cars. I never strayed from that. |

It sure would make a better looking car if it was already molested or a peice. If it were original it would be a shame to do. IMO

there were only about 100 turbo targas made all years. so it should reduce the value.

I did not even know they made a turbo targa in 76, I thought those came in the mid 80's. If so, man I think that would kill the value as that had to be a pretty rare car.

1987 - 1988 was when the Turbo first came out of the factory as a Targa (per Peter Morgan's data on Porsche production numbers).
