Where to find "test pipe"?
I believe this 87 930 has the stock cat attached to an aftermarket muffler. And it looks very tired. If it had an air pump it is long gone. I was thinking it might be a good idea to get this lump out of there.
I noticed that the GHLs are not available on Pelican. Is there another source? I searched and did not see any threads. Any body have a used one? TIA

I gave one to rarlyl8 a few years ago when he was looking at testing some. Check to see if he still has it laying around the shop...

If you're going to toss your CAT (good idea, by the way, it will make a huge improvement in your performance), then why not spend the money instead on a muffler that will bolt up directly to your turbo, like most aftermarket muffs do. There would be no need for a test pipe.
To me, the "test" pipe is an excuse to run without a CAT, and an easy way to put the CAT back on for yearly emissions testing. If that's the case for you, then buy a new CAT and a test pipe.

Here's a test pipe..
Then I built a straight pipe from a local autozone for less then $20 bucks and another ~$10 for an exhaust tip.. BTW - I sold my GHL because I wasn't happy with the finished product. The dual tips were not even. So what I did was make my own single outlet and bought a different valance. Much better....

I like the idea of a muffler that goes right to the turbo...and a Zork tube but that may be a bit anti social.
Thanks again!

The cat bypass tube will not do as much for performance as a free flowing muffler.
I do have JP's pipe but the air injection tube is mangled. Used it for testing.

If you can swing it, get a new muffler assembly. While the test pipe will help, the stock muffler is restictive and VERY heavy. I hear Rarly's are the bomb...

This actually has an after market muffler...but its big and heavy. I think it is a Remus. I am going to try to swing the Rarly option, he is almost local.

If anyone's interested, I have an old B&B twin outlet 930 muffler I'm tired of looking at.
