strange electrical problem
Hopefully someone has heard of this.My reverse lights don't work,fuses good,bulbs good,I can put 12v to the grey/brown wire at the switch and the lights come on.I think my problem is the supply?Lastly when I put it in reverse the druck pressure goes to "0".....Thanks for listening. 87 930 in case I forgot to mention..

What about the switch at transmission itself? Easy to check using Ohmmeter

I've seen a thread on this before (pressure going to 0 when reversing)... Unfortunately memory (and bladder) is like a sieve and could not find it if my life depend it on it. Should get a solution before the Sun rise in the East. J.J.

Sounds like you need an electrical diagram. If you ask nicely in this forum someone should be able to help you out with a print. The oil pressure sending unit works on resistance and is not in the same circuit as your back-up lamps.

I have a diagram,this is the strangest thing I've seen..I have never had an electrical problem that I have not been able to fix ,but makes no sense...........It's all most like someone has messed with it ! Some how connected wires wrong..

I had a mouse take-up residence in my trunk who ate through the protective sheath of a 1.5" wire bundle. WIth your meter dropping to zero concurrent with the reverse circuit being activated, a wire diagram would help you look for areas where the two circuits are adjacent to each other. Might want to also begin looking around for evidence of vermin "residents", i.e. droppings, chewed-up carpet to make a bed, etc.
