rocker panels remove, what will I find there?

I am considering to remove the rocker panels from my `87 930...
I so much like this one:

what will I find when I remove my rocker panels?
What work is necessary to get close to above look?

thanks
Falk

Along the same lines, I am wondering if you can just peel off the black sticker covering the torsion bar hole on the rear quarter fender. Does that ruin the paint job underneath?

There will be holes in the rocker panel below, but not many. Maybe 5-6. You'll have to fill in the holes in the fender wells from the boxed rocker end caps as well.

I think depending on the color of your car, there will be some paint fade.

Yes.
They help keep the center of gravity low

Especially after they collect pebbles and gravel, really weighs down the sides of your car nicely....

I pick this old threat up, because today I removed one rocker panel.
Good and bad...
The good news is, I am sure I was the first who ever took them off,
only very few rust points around the holes for rocker panel screws.

bad news: There is a cover plate which is partly under the black sticker.
This plate is a single part.
To get the desired RSR look, it is necessary to use plastic prime?
and model the hole for the torsion tubes.
I was thinking to be able to put the rocker panels on some day
to get the original 930 look back.
