I used Clewett wires when I ran EDIS. OTOH, Boost Engineering sells EDIS coil connectors to convert Porsche wires.

Thanks for the ideas I think I have cold start pretty close now it's 23 deg. here and it fired and died then I had to crank for maybe 2 sec. to get it to start and it came up to 1600 rpm and stayed there no stumbling no backfires.

Started it about an hour after the last start and it was smooth started, come up and idled, after about 2 min. (when I have ASE set to go away) there is a little bit of a stumble but not much if it starts good tomorrow morning then I will extend the ASE a little longer to give the motor a little longer to warm up when really cold.

After much tweaking of the cranking pulse width and after start enrichment I have a motor that starts right up 3-4 cranking cycles and idles smoothly at 850-900 rpm after 2-3 min. all at a temp. of 25-35 deg. after sitting all night now we wait till spring to tweak the warmer settings. Thanks everyone for your ideas and help.

the devil is in the details

the stumble coming off ASE may be cause the decay is too steep. Make the last bit of decay blend in very slowly

With this ver. I don't have the option of altering the decay curve but when I started it this morning it started and there was no hiccups I just started it at 50 degrees and it struggled to start but ASE worked fine so I will bump up that cranking pulse width bin.

What were your overall enrichments for cranking and post-cranking?

I have to fine-tune mine on Adaptronic...the car never saw cold temps in Australia so we never bothered with cold start tuning before!

My base tune was way off for the conditions here but I got it from someone in a warmer climate so it makes sense, but here goes.
cranking pulse width went from 6.1 to 8.5 at 20 deg.
after start enrichment went from 12 to 125 at 20 deg.
