replacing cam

I have sc cams in my car and one of the lobes is worn. I have to replace it.
I have two questions. Were can I find a good sc cam?
I am thinking of doing the job myself.. I am very mechanically inclined. I have a shop I can do the work in. I just ordered Waynes book on rebuild. How much time should I be looking at to do this kind of job.. I was told I dont have to drop the whole motor out just drop it down.. What do you guys think.

You don't have to drop the engine, but it would make it easier. EBS and Web Cams should be able to help you with new cams.

What Jim said.

I had the same issue with a C2 cam. Sent it to Web cam for repair.

Should check the oil bar for a clog.

And it is WAY easier to pull the spray bars with the engine out. Best check your rocker arms for funky wear as well
