where is the enrichment relay at?

I believe the enrichment relay is connected to the o2 sensor but I don't know where it is. I am just try to get a better idea on the AFR's and learn a bit. It makes it easier if I can see thinks. Any help or picture would be really appreciated.

The brains of the Lambda emissions control components is under the drivers seat. It takes the information from the throttle position sensor and oxygen sensor, using that information to change the duty cycle of the frequency valve that's tucked behind the fuel distributor. Might be a couple things I've left out, but that's the gist of it anyway.

Also, if my memory serves me today (always an iffy proposition) there may be a relay in the left-rear engine bay relay/fuse panel that sends the power to the computer. I THINK it may be the black one pictured below (I seem to remember pulling that once, only to have the frequency valve stop working). This all applies to my 1987 and could differ based on years but should be pretty standard.

In '86 - '89 930's with the lambda system it's the middle one and it's to the left of the K-jetronic box under the drivers seat. It puts the frequency valve on the fuel heads lower chamber into open loop mode at full throttle and is triggered by the throttle position switch on the throttle body when at full throttle.
ROW and Early USA 930's don't have a lambda emissions system, no frequency valve, and no enrichment relay.

The black relay Mark pointed out is the relay that sends current of the heater element in the oxygen sensor so the sensor heats up faster than the exhaust would heat it alone. That makes the fuel injection lean out faster after a cold start and helps the car pass late eightees USA emissions testing.

The round black socket above on the side of the relay panel that looks like a relay socket is for checking the frequency valve's duty cycle while running.

Hey Ken, with the CIS Flowtech~Imagine Auto modifed fuel head you have the frequency valve is removed among other things so there would be no electrical enrichment circut anymore.

With the oxygen sensor and frequency valve removed the K-jetronic box and enrichment relay under the driver seat don't do anything anymore so ditching them removes clutter.

Then you can sell them to someone that needs that stuff to pass emissions.

It's nice that we don't have emission testing in Florida.

+1 That's exactly what I did. Everything under the seat is gone, no O2 sensor, IA fuel head, no frequency valve, etc. fuel pump relays hooked up to an inertia switch. Works like a charm everytime.

yeah but when i received it i removed the plug in the fuel head and hooked everything up because i didn't know what it did. After you told me about removing it that time I pulled it all back out and replaced the plug in the fuel head. I guess if I pulled the k jetronic box from under the seat I would have more room for the subwoofer.

Jim, thanks for the correction. I knew that sucker did something but again....my brain just wasn't wrapped around it correctly.

I sure would someday like to delete that damn freq valve, but can't run without it in open loop without doing the requisite stuff to the fuel head (dialing in the injectors to compensate for removal of the valve, or something like that). You laid the process out some time ago. Not that I necessarily need to remove it, but it's just one more thing to fail and since I'm running open loop anyway it's just the last part of the Lambda system to go before I can jerk all the stuff from under the seat.
