Hi Guys - finally a few pics

I've been a member here for a little while now and thought I should finally get some shots of my car up here.. I got the car in late October last year and absolutely love it ! It's an 89 5 speed 930 and is how I bought it .. It's pretty much in mint condition with the odd stone chip but otherwise in very good condition ...
I took her out this afternoon for a few shots just down the road from where I live ..
All external shots today ..

I photograph people for a living here in Australia so not used to shooting cars but it was fun !

Cheers guys and thanks for looking !

Ben

Sure Kevin, all I used was my Canon 5DMKII with a 24-70mm 2.8 Lens and natural light .. I'm a huge fan of natural light, I'll take my flash along to weddings but rarely use it .. The lighting in these images is actually not that great, I headed out at about 5.30pm not knowing exactly what time the area that I wanted use would be in full shade .. The last thing I wanted was direct sunlight .. (or any sky for that matter) .. I wanted to keep my backrounds fairly dark so any hint of sky or sunlight is a bad thing ... (unless that's the look you're after) .. As you can see in a couple of the images there is a bit of sunlight on the back wall behind the car, I would have had to wait over an hour for it to set and really didn't have the time to waste.. This is where checking out your location before hand comes in handy, and although I did do that it wasn't at the same time of day, so I was stuck waiting for the right light ...

After I'd taken all the images I wanted I colour corrected the RAW images and edited in Photoshop to get the desired result ..

Although I'm shooting for a living I'm not a gear freak, I only have what I need.

2 5D's a 15-35mm 2.8, 24-70mm 2.8 & a 70-200mm 2.8 Lens, 580EX Flash
I have studio lights etc but much prefer to shoot natural light ..

Cheers

Ben
