I want a RUF valance

I've decided that I want to add a front mount oil cooler, and for me the only way to do this "properly" is to use the RUF valance.

I understand these are no longer manufactured and RUF doesn't have any more in stock. Therefore I'm putting out an all points bulletin here. If anyone has one, or knows of one sitting on a shelf somewhere, please let me know.

Here is what they told me:

We are very sorry for not writing you earlier!

The price for the front spoiler is 1,670 € without shipping. The price in USD is 2,275. We can also offer you two rear spoilers: one spoiler with slots and one spoiler without slots. The spoiler without slots costs 1,390 € (1,894 USD). The spoiler with the slots costs 1,780 € (2,425 USD).

Should you have any further questions, please let us know again.

Best regards,

Melanie Knoll

Not interested in RUF "style" looking for the genuine article in polyurethane here.

Akila, how recently did you contact RUF? I've been told these parts have been out of production for quite a while.

EDIT: I see on the RUF site that they offer the CTR front spoiler, which replaces the entire bumper. This appears to be the one they quoted to you. I'm looking for just the valance that goes with the factory front bumper

Yep...that is the one. I've sent RUF an email. I've heard from several folks on this side of the pond that these are out of production, but you can order online?!?. We'll see what RUF says.

and, this one: Spoilers 930 FS-R
Not to be too harsh on Better Bodies, but the part they ship you does not fit nearly as well as the items shown on the cars in the pictures.
I'd wager the silver car in the large photo has a genuine polyurethane Ruf spoiler.
I *know* the yellow 930 Cabriolet has a genuine polyurethane Ruf spoiler -- because we worked on it last year.
We've installed the genuine Ruf poly spoilers and they lined up perfectly, no issues or stories. And they are of course lightweight and flexible.
Expect to spend double or triple the purchase price of the Better Bodies heavy fiberglass part fit correctly on the car.

Jacob -- the rest of your car is so nice, don't settle for less than the good stuff now.

whilst i was the one to suggest the site, i'm not surprised what TurboKraft has said. at least i know where 'not' to go when i need to replace my RUF Spoiler...

Once jwasbury has found one I'm also looking for the same thing.
Must be the real thing.
