My formal intro...i guess

1980 930 euro 79kil on the ticker i believe three owner car, started its life in texas at Mario Motors,...if anyone knows them http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1301958605.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1301958623.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1301958636.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1301958656.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1301958678.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1301958694.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1301958707.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1301958723.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1301958763.jpg working on a set of custom 964ish turbo rockers now...rauh welt style to level out the sides on the car, and possibly a custom ducktail.... next is all new suspension and brakes! |
I'm not much of a fan of matte finishes, but your car looks great. Be even better with a high gloss duco IMHO.
|
How are those side mirrors? I am about to install mine but am worried about them vibrating like crazy.
|
Jim, fricken sweet ride!!!!! Diggin the different route you went with the car... headlights are cool... Welcome to the board...

as for the mirrors...they suck for seeing anything, i got little round convex things you can get at pep boys and put them in the lower corner,..as for mounts...3m tape and they are solid as can be |
Look great...
|
Rauh welt
I love your rah welt style 930. It's kind of no rules, anything goes style , but it came out money.
What kind of power Jim? Kevin |
I'd be interested in the mirrors if you decide to sell them. I use those on my DP. I attached them with silicone sealer. The Vitaloni Sebring Mach 1 convex mirror is a direct replacement for the flat mirror. Once they are adjusted right (a pain) they work great. I use the convex mirror on the passenger side and the flat on the drivers side.
|
Jim, that looks nasty (in a contemporary youth vernacular kind of way). Awesome looking build. I gotta get me some of those headlights. :D Thanks for sharing. Digging the Rauh Welt look.
|
The car looks great! I like matte-black finishes!!
What make/model are the seats? Thanks |

wastegate dump and exhaust from rarly8...fabspeed intake new plugs, wires, cap, rotor, and timing check and that is about all i did... trans or clutch is on the way out, i can tell its getting harder to shift through the gears....having to double clutch or rev match sometimes,...hoping to get through the summer before pulling it in the fall for a rebuild |
I personally love it. Can you show me some pics of the Rennline lower dash ends? I want to see in detail how it looks edge on so to speak.
|
Help me understand how you could get access to the rear seats [maybe for kids] when those seats don't have hinges?
I'd like to get some, but don't know how my kids would be able to get back there??? |

Got to say that i really like the looks. The flat finish without being over pimped looks great. the urban backdrop for the photo's gives it a real menacing look. Car would not look the same parked in the driveway of wisteria lane !

but if you still have back seats, the seats slide up and back just like normal seats...but yes,..access is limited... lucky boys to be riding around in a 930 by the way |

bumper is from AIR, and front lip is from AIR...i have heard alot of negative stuff about AIR, but the bumper fit the car almost spot on, and very heavy solid fiberglass work, gel coat was super smooth, quick sanding and primer and it was ready for paint... problem with all replica bumpers is they are one piece, you cant remove the "under tray", therefore all the front lips do not just "bolt up"... i have pics of the entire process on my phone i need to upload on the computer, i am away on business but ill get pics up this week when i get home but i basically but the bottom half of the bumper off to the level and angle i wanted, and then make a fiberglass mold of the inside of the lip, and bolted them together, just like OEM would do... http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1302008267.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1302008160.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1302008190.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1302008205.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1302008220.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1302008343.jpg brake ducts are Techart so they fit perfect |
