Rear Valance

I reinstalled my back bumper, last night, and was thinking about not reinstalling the under bumper valance, as it doesn't look too bad. Anybody out there run their car with it off? I kinda like the look as it shows a little more of the business side of the car without showing too much. Unless you squat down behind the car, you really can't see too much of the exhaust. Pictures attached.

Can anybody think of any downside to not reinstalling it? I don't like the look of the ugly rubber baby buggy bumpers as they stick down below, and maybe I will need to heat guard them, but other than that I kinda like it.

Looks good without. Just consider the huuuuuge exhaust pipes your valance.

I'm a big (enhanced) American boob man myself, but I run no valence, looks ok, starting to like the finished look better though, but I notice that ive been getting more soot on the rear of the car since I've had it off. Have no idea if it's related, but airflow might be different so that it blows the junk away from the car... Any thoughts welcome...

still on the fence?
cut out half the metal, and call it a draw.

I would be tempted to cut a valance that covers the area between the bumper boobs. That would leave the large tailpipes exposed and cover up the muffler body. The large pipes would be accented.
Do a photoshop and see how that looks.
I have fiberglass valances if you want to do something like that and not cut the stock one.

Thanks, Brian, I'll keep your fiberglass ones in mind.

Charles, mine is already cut out for the right side outlet. Maybe you can get a fiberglass one from Brian.

Thanks, Oh Haha. I appreciate it!

That looks like a lot of work, Bill K. Nice!

Very nice, Billjam!

Calvin. Yep, I'll see how much I like it over time and what the airflow does with all the soot.

Thanks for your replies, guys!

I've long admired Bill K's & Billjam's venty versions - I gotta find the mojo and resources to do such someday. Someone here (name's escaping me ATM) has a circles version on his silver car IIRC too. All very cool (pun intended?)...

I've toy'd w/ the thought of running al fresco as well Geoff - maybe I'll pull mine and run around w/ it nekkid and see if it speaks to me or not

dunno tho - might be a bit too Commando for me

(now... sorry - I can't let the Bad Stripper Tits tail pipes go! Sorry Geoff, I truly am! 8-) But, it's time to line them sukkahs up me friend! Can't help it - huge pet peeve of mine!)

Hey Paulie, you talking about the tailpipes or the big American boobs?

I need to relook at the tailpipes, but they are as next to perfect as I can make them. The exiting right tailpipe from the muffler isn't square with the left one, so no matter what, I can't get them to match. Will get the micronometer out and make as sure as I can, though. Maybe they look more off based upon where I took the picture from my cell phone, too. I don't know...

I need to bend the boobs around a bit, too, to get the bottoms to line up correctly. I'd like to cut them down but I better not in case I want to change it up back to stock, someday.

MMMmm, boobies.

That said, I was referring to your tiPs - exhaust.

I had a bear of a time exacting mine - but, worth the effort. I don't think it's the angle of your pic - look at them again, you'll see 8-).

Nothing worse than seeing some hoochie w/ yaboes one goin a-here, one goin a-thar... eeek!
