no work on the weekends... when reinstalling the cams they noticed some pitting on them so they were sent off to be polished or ground or whatever they do. got the tranny all back together and i am hoping maybe this week it will be done. still undecided if i should go back to the original euro fuel head

It was tough to see relative to the thickness. But it sure looked like an SE IC. It would be pretty simple if you had a pic of it on the motor. It's the same as the RUF IC... just thicker than stock. What did your mechanic say?

so the cams had some pitting on them and they were sent off to be redone. I went ahead and had them re-profiled to SC cams, i am thinking good idea? whats your guys thoughts as i don't believe they are doing them until tomorrow so i can always change my mind. also whats your thoughts on going back to the euro fuel system? i have an 86 cis is what i am told. looking for anyones insight.

That is a great grind for old turbos. But, if you had a real "SE" car, they were already profiled to SC specs

got the cams back and cleaned up the intercooler, if anyone has a source or a way to fix the rubber on top of the intercooler i am all ears. Also got a euro fuel head,WUR and lines from Brian at Rarely L8. just want to say he is very knowledgable and professional. parts were delivered on time and exactly the way he said they would be. thanks Brian.

so as a update... I just picked the car up from Turbo Kraft. I brought it in to have them change out the diaphragm in the wastage and build a exhaust. I ended up doing a single out on the passenger side and a matching tip for the waste gate for the dual out look. Simply amazing performance upgrade. THe car spools up almost instantly and it really is not any louder at all. And you can hear that waste gate open now! We went with a 3 inch pipe with polished tips. Magna Flow muffler that is quite light weight and really it fits up there really nice. THe welds are simply amazing. I don't have pics but if CHris reads this he can post some.

A note about Turbo Kraft and my experiences with Porsche shops here in Phoenix. When i first bought the car I took it to a reputable shop and many thousands dropped into it in hopes of having the car run better and fixing oil leaks. I never was satisfied with what was done and in the end felt that i was a bit taken but thats water under the bridge. I decided to have the Engine rebuilt at Porsche in Scottsdale. Ed did all the work and was very satisfied with the whole experience but had some lingering fuel system issues that just could not be worked out. i am sure this is due to the newer cars being a high performance computer and not requiring the old school logic that needs to be put into these fine older cars. After months of trying to decide of what type of muffler to put on i had it down to Rarely L8 and Turbo Kraft. the deciding factor was logistics. I liked the idea of just having Chris do the whole thing, CHris has a small shop and is never bothered by having customers stop by and check progress. For those of you who have met mike not much needs to be said. He gets right to the job. I watched him assemble a engine and was astonished at how thorough he is. His knowledge of every nut, bolt, and assembly methods. THe guy knows every torque of every thing by heart it seems. Greet mechanic, and has a humble way of going at it that makes you feel good to see him working on your car. now onto my car...

WHen i first dropped it off he said something did not sound right. I believe the exact words were something like... "i did not know porsche made a 5 cylinder?" They drove it and said it just did not feel right. I drive a Dodge truck every day, i have no real baseline to tell me if the car is running correct. I hit the gas and it goes like the wheels of hell or so i thought. THey got into the fuel system and found a lot of issues. old lines, cracked this and that etc. etc. ended up replacing the accumulator, filter, injector blocks(got the nice aluminum ones) new injectors. Also i was concerned that the fuel pumps were in need of replacement. not the case but i was losing 2 volts from the relay to the pump so had them rewired. Car is running great now and we are going to Dyno her on friday and fine tune a little more. Just wanted to share a good experience with these guys and can say that they are of a dying breed that actually care about what they do. It seems so many people are consumed with how much they can make or how fast they can make it and not really care about the products they are putting out or the service they are offering. These guys really do care. If anyone needs to have there car worked on i would strongly suggest using Turbo Kraft.

Is that the old Curil-K2 sealant? I did not know that was still being used. Used to use it back in the 80's.
