Best 930 Muffler???
I'm looking for great sound, but not obnoxious. I currently have a stock exuast with a cat bypass. My previous 1986 930 had a full B&B system and I thought that sounded ok. I like the rarlyl8 headers an would like to hear some opinions of what muffler would sound and work well with a nice set of headers like Brians.
Thank you |

I have one of Brian's passenger exit mufflers, have had it for 3 years now and couldn't be happier, the weight, the straight through design and the sound. It's raspier than my old monty, I really dig the sound.

I'm happy with my Fabspeed, exits out the passenger side. Sounds good and throaty, not loud in the cockpit, but has a great sound outside and behind.

I have RarlyL8 headers and GT3-style street muffler. Sounds completly different to what I know like B&B, GHL etc... A bit throaty and way more "even", a bit like a Superbike.
Conclusion: Love it!

I had one of Brian's hooligan muflers with passenger side exit and matching waste gate pipe. It sounded really nice and you could still have a conversation with a passenger. The great thing about his stuff is modular design, you don't like a certian aspect it is easily changed. I decided to just replace the muffler with a straight pipe off the turbo and he quickly sent me a pipe that just replaced the muffler body,I didn't need anything additional as my tailpipe slipped right on and still matches the driver side waste gate pipe. Now she's good and loud but not quite zork loud. Very satisfied with his products and service, you won't be disappointed.

I'd like "big" - - 4" - - Was thinking about have the local muffler shop fab one up to the end of my hooligan [pass-thru] muffler. Then, take the whole assembly and get it ceramic coated...

+1 Brian's muffler. I have a single, drivers side exit. Some have told me its the best sounding 930 they have heard.

I have both drivers side and passenger side exit of Brian's on different cars. Now i do not know which sound level they are but I like them both. The drivers side exit seems a bit less throaty but both of them sound and flow better than the others I have had over the years.

Walt, I have Brian's equal length headers and his dual out muffler. I'd say it's gotten a little louder in two years but I still like it. I'm in Northern Westchester- PM if you want to go for a ride.

I have the dual out edition. Is quiet when cruising but if I open it up it makes a violent waaaaahhhhh sound. I'm sure it has freaked people out as I pass them.
