Custom interior pics
Ok fellas, we popped the windshield out today due to it leaking wind and rain. There was some indication of rust along the bottom of the rail and sure enough it's rusted thru. KMW is going to fix me up and since they need to remove the dash pad I wanted to take this opportunity to have it covered in black as eventually the whole interior will be converted to black. I'm thinking of using Suede as Gab's looks fantastic. It would be nice to see everybodies "custom" interiors in one post.

I went with grey carpet from the trunk of a 1974 914...replaced the dash top all together.

fwiw, alot of the race car dash's were covered with some type of flat black felt fabric.
light weight and it wouldn't reflect glare up on the inside of the windsheild on bright sunny days. |

Gulf Fabrics sells the Alcantara. I'm going to call them tomorrow and see what they have. Also noticed they sell rolls of carbon fiber...... hmmmm

I've got to take better pics. The seat bottoms on mine are alcantara as well and the stuff is great. No sliding in the corners at all...

rsrfan, your interior looks great, I would love to see some clear pics.
Gab, I thought I saw some pics of your dash but i'll be damned if I can find them. I'm sure they're buried in one of your 200 page build posts.. dave, interior looks similar to how I want mine. Spartan looking but daily drivable. Love those rennline foot panels |

I find mine to be a little flexy... I know that Clint at Rebel Racing was talking about coming up with a brace of some sort to remedy this...

Super sweet interiors! I really like that ALCANTRA material.. I debated when I did mine and decided on a Carbon dash. the glare from the reflection worried me but to be honest it hasn't been a problem at all.

GJF- looks fantastic. I love the carbon door panels and dash but I really want the suede for the dash and maybe the lower dash cusion as well to tie it all together. not sure if I just want it covered or if I want stitching to break it up. I love the red stitching

I think after seeing the ALCANTRA material I would do that with the colored stitching too!! I love the look!! I don't really like the center of my dash and want to spruce it up. Maybe using the suede in the middle.... I'm in the process of putting A/C back in the car and will need to do a little moving components around.
