If you side mount the twins you will need a '72 oil tank and system.
If you rear mount the twins, turbines opposed, your valance will only give you room for straight out pipes - really loud.
Mount the twins to the rear compressors opposed and you can work in some muffling.
The "G" body, '74 up, rear bumper added critical space for all turbo stuff you want under there.

I side mounted my TT 3.8 with a stock 930 setup FWIW. Before I saw the light and went rear mount, and yes its L O U D.

PW put together one of the most impressive no-tail presentations I've ever seen.
Yes it does have intercoolers in a place worth consideration.

thats a monster Brian, are the pipe lengths too long to have a front mounted intercooler? Oil tank relocation should not be a problem. maybe tone it down a bit so it does not look like a indy car!!

good stuff, keep it coming...

P. Wong put that one together as an engineering project of sorts. I think he had a thread on it at the time (a few years ago). Crazy looking and must have sounded just as nuts!

We find side mounting twin turbo easier, and makes for the shortest plumbing. Like the 993T.
You can keep re-use the factory rear mounted oil tank with easy, low cost mods. Then you have the whole bumper area for your muffler system.
Email or PM for pics.

Converting to a 964 or 993 oil tank isn't that difficult either, but not a requirement.

... but rear mount retains the cool factor. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/suppo...ool_shades.gif

Also makes adjusting the valves a lot less time consuming. For me if you can't see the twins they aren't worth doing. To much cost/complexity for little to no gain.

This one fits under a 3.0 Turbo Carrera tail.

Or you can just go the backseat route :) works well enough for a K3...
