Pirelli P7 Corsa Classic- anyone running yet?

Seems ideal for some of you guys:

P7 CORSA Classic, Motorsport tyres - PIRELLI INTERNATIONAL

15" and 16" sizes. The 15s seem small OD, around 23.5", while the 16s are big (around 26"). Still looks like very high quality rubber. Modern construction and compound, classic looks and sizes?

The tread pattern looks identical to the Corsas they offered in the late nineties. They were also Corsa's, DOT slicks that were run in a U.S. wide series I believe, sort of like the Pirelli World Challenge today, except that they were DOT tires.

If they are the same I'd like to know, those old Corsas were great. Anyone know if they're the same?

Take care!

They are not the same. They are designed to look the same, but they supposedly have better construction and compounds. If you have 15 minutes the launch event is fun to watch:

Thanks for the info. I hope they introduce more sizes.

Also - did I read your signature correctly, that you have a GT3 engine stuffed in a '69? Cool! Sounds completely bonkers, in a good way. It didn't by chance start off as a red T did it? Searching for a 1969 T .

Take care!

Availability in US

So, does anyone know when they will be available in the US?
My 11 x 15 BBS wheels will be useable again!

Yea. Search "PVX" and you'll find some older threads.

It's only mildly bonkers.

They seem like odd sizes, too short & too tall. I run the Michelin TB 295's & 335's which are just over 24" in the summer and Goodyear F1 315/17's which are 25.5" in the winter. To me, the Goodyears are on the high side.

Kudos to Pirelli, however just Canada for N. A dealers so far. I need a number of these sets for cars that were switched to 17" due to lack of proper sizes for clients. I've saved my old 11"-12" width 15" and 16" special wheels, will be nice to put them back on the cars.

These are designed for classic rally cars and nobody is running tyres that wide on 911s in classic rallying (or for that matter in classic circuit racing - even 934s I saw at Classic Spa recently). The 15s in 235/285 are a perfect fit for the Gp4 911s like this

Or the Stratos, like this

And the 16s are designed for the Lancia 037 and DeltaS4. Like so

The only feedback I have in these so far is that they are a proper race tyre and won't last anywhere near as long as even say a Toyo 888. I had hoped they would be like the old PZeroC that was long lasting, progressive and grippy. They do come in a hard compound so fingers crossed. The only pricing I have seen so far over here in the UK is at Demon Tweeks where a set of 235/285 runs £1200+tax (at 20%). A little over twice the price of 888s, though the sizes are not comparable.
