I guess its unlikely that the news would have travelled to US shores. I just heard this morning of the tragically early death of JBL930 - Jonathan Lang.

R.I.P. Jonathan, I will surely miss your wit and candor on all things 930, but life was so much more than the car that bonds us all on this forum. We shared our frustrations with our failed attempts to realize a vision for our cars that we knew to be attainable if elusive but chased the brass ring nonetheless. Godspeed my good man.

What a sad surprise to hear about Jon's sudden passing. We have lost a great guy. May he be remembered.

Damn. I recall several of his posts about his 993 engine in the 930, ton of issues but forged ahead and got it squared away. Wasn't it in a magazine eventually?

A truely great loss! I only ever spoke to him on the phone. He was always there to give advice and help on 930 turbo issues. R.I.P mate

Jon was as wild as a March hare and crammed so much life into his 39 years. Behind all his partying was a very generous guy who gave some much time to people. He spent hours on emails to me when I was rebuilding a 930 with modded intercooler/hybrid turbo etc.. He knew fuel curves backward and was so generous in his time imparting his knowledge. He also was an immense contributor to many petrol head forums with his forthright views.
RIP Jon.
