Been away for a while. Had to enroll my son into military school out of state unexpectedly and close on a rent house. Been a crazy month. Still on the hunt. I appreciate the assistance to those I have visited with.

Thought I would post an update on my quest. First, to all that have responded and that I have corresponded with, thank you very much. I am sure that questions will come up as I go through this purchase and after. Have purchased an 88 930, black on black. Inspection went well and leakdown great. I am a newb at this, but the resources here are amazing and think I have done my homework.
To those that are wondering and have a interest, I have put forth a sincere effort to help bolster the prices of these beautiful cars. (Budget blown) Purchased the car out of state, will post the pics when delivered. Hopefully next week. |
My 1987 White, Burgundy stock 930 with LS, Sport Seats, solid PPI no issue car with 97k miles, two CA owners sold 41k. Asking was 44k. On its way to Germany.
Looking for 911 coupe DE car to replace the garage queen spot. Skillet83; what did you end up paying and how much have you budgeted for first year expenses for the car? Rick |
Finally got delivery of car yesterday. I have never purchased anything like this before sight unseen. Purchased through a broker out of state, was a very nice experience. Found a shop to do the inspection through the Pelican forums. Inspection went well, so went ahead with the compression test. Came out 2%-3% across all six. Car looked better in person. Am very happy with the whole process.
Car drives incredible. What an experience, feel, sound, sensation, amazing experience. I stared at the car last night for most of the evening. Nothing like the lines on these machines. Absolute works of art. Only mods that I know of are K-27, B&B and Andial boost enrichment kit. Not sure what that does, will do some reading on here later.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1384032333.jpg |

One more pic. Thanks again for all the help. Will have more questions I am sure. That is the new home for the P-Car and dirt bikes in the background. Do not say anything. I already know, it looks a church. |
Car looks great! Congratulations!!
I used to have an andial enrichment kit. Wasn't too sure it was working properly, so I removed it and gave it away to another Pelicanite. Does your car have an adjustable boost knob? If so, be careful with it. I have one and have "locked it down" at 0.95BAR Boost. It just looks nice, so I left it in there!! |
|
Do not believe there is a control or knob. Was reading about this subject on another thread the other day. Some say there is, and others say no. I looked under the drivers seat and under the dash, nothing.
|
Congratulations! Beautiful car! More pictures...Please
|
I think I saw that car at top gear, nice car.
|
Job well done.

Nice looking car! If it were mine, I would find some original Fuchs for it as I think they fit the era and the size of the car much better (and people that have tried other wheels say the car handles better with the 16" diameter wheels they were designed with). But that's just me and you didn't ask for an opinion. Regardless, it's nice that you found something you like!
And by the way, are you a minister? I ask because I see you are building a church on your property! :D |
The only thing I would ad is the rear valence, which our sponsor sells. I love the wheels!

Great job holding out for what you really wanted and finding it! Beautiful 930 and I agree on the rear valance.
