87 930 spark time too short

My tech man just install my rebuild cdi to my car, but he told me the spark time is too short. I had try two different CDI(both just got rebuild back). The result is same. can any one tell me where should I check? Thanks and happy holiday.

Send a PM to "wwest", he knows ignition well and I believe an EE.

He can probably tell you what you need to know. Not sure though if the duration is shown in the screenshot which I'm sure he will need.

Can't tell without some numbers on the scope, but the waveform looks OK. Are you sure your tech is applying the right criteria for your CDI type ignition? Bosch CDI spark duration is only 0.1 to 0.3 milliseconds. Most modern inductive type ignitions are greater than 1.5 milliseconds spark duration. Maybe your tech thinks your CDI ignition should also be 1.5 mS, in which case he is mistaken.

whats wrong with the car?

i have looked at the output of the CD which is negative.
more info would be needed on the test EQ, but some of it does not look right and part looks like oscilations or ringing.
what stands out is that all 6 are not the same.
