the truth! wow!!

I heard on cnbc financial year in review and 2014 forcasts...they predict collector cars will continue to climb.

maybe time to think about selling in 2014??

Hagerty's way of getting those of us insured through them to call and increase our car's valuations? Not likely. It'll sure get me to call, though.

The average price fora 1976 930 is over 90K. I would have to think that is a little high...looks like quite the rapid jump in price, not sure this is reality.

That site is pretty solid...
At this point the prices in reality are lower but that's about to change the next year(s)
Hagerty is a reference for classic car collectors like wayne carini (F-40 Motorsports) from chasing classic cars. The 930 will become hot on the classic market.
let's all be optimistic

Nice looking charts! I'll be optimistic. Glad to have the '79 in my rolling "portfolio"

My problem is that it makes the possibility of me buying another 930 less than zero now if those prices are anywhere near accurate. The only people that will be able to afford a 930 will be the "collectors". I was loosing money on my 930, it did bother me a bit. I kept it in my garage mostly dissassembled since 1996 just waiting for the day I had the time and resources to get it all back together. Now it looks like if I had waited another two years that would be impossible due the porbable increase in part cost...

If you can find something soon you can still do a good deal, like you said collectors will invest in these cars ...

That feels exaggerated. Compare the 78 to a 77, its hard to believe the 3.0 is worth less. At least thats not what the market feels like?

Ah forget it, I made a mistake. They come up close, so maybe that is correct after all...

Still want to sell it for $80K washed or not? If so I'll bet there are willing buyers now.

Good Memory! I may have to recalibrate if these values hold true.

Makes all those 930's on ebay a real steal. Wonder why no one has scooped them all up.

I have pretty reliable info of a 75 that brought $135K over 2 years ago. There has been some serious sales prices under the radar for a while now so possibly Hagarty has info not readily available. If so, sellers will ( unhappily) find out soon enough if they sell to soon. I know I would like some back I've sold.

Correction...

"I was loosing money on my 930, it did bother me a bit. "

I meant to say ... "I was loosing money on my 930, it didn't bother me a bit."

Prices are in the upswing, expect some flattening of the curve. Good cars get sold quickly, ususlly at their asking price. The problem with 930s is that they made so many of them, so condition and market correction come into play.
Any decent car on eBay is sold quickly, the ones that linger have a story or are overly modded.
