need 14 pin connector help

I am helping a friend install his 76 930 engine in a new to him 76 930 chassis. The 14 pin connectors on both the chassis and the engine have been modified with lots of splices, some with mismatched colors or gauges. We are using the color foldout wiring diagrams to guide our work , but need help as to which color wire and pin go to each hole in the connector halves. Any help will be greatly appreciated!
