i need old 153 and 054 WUR's
since BL is no longer modifying them, i want to see if my father in law is interested in doing it. bad thing is i dont have anything to go buy so it will have to be redesigned from scratch.
he use to build race cars up north but he is getting old and he mostly straightens and rebuilds rear ends now. i am going up there in july and would like to take some up there to see what he can do with them. i dont have anyway of setting pressures (yet). i will cross that bridge if i get to it. i am looking for 153, 054 and if possible 033 and 045 WUR's.

From what I hear... wait a few more weeks and you won't be having to scrounge up cores and reinvent the wheel. :-)

The BL mod was not the hard part. Sourcing the diaphragm material is the brass ring. Thought I found a source in the Netherlands once, not so much.
When will we get a real digital WUR and put all this beating and banging behind us!!! |

Machining is the easy part.
Bosch approved vendors can purchase diaphragms; BL makes his own. To me the key to all of this is that you must replace the electronics when rebuilding. Adjustability means nothing if the bimetallic strip is not functioning properly.

yes, i agree. had to start somewhere though. i was hoping i could work with you for the rest since you did not want to do the machining. i was going to get him to machine it, then send it to you for assembly and setup. basically i was going to be out of the loop once it was going.
i am still going to try to find some 930 WUR's to let him see what he could do, just for my curiosity.
