Any good deals on 930's out there?
Was missing my old 930 and wanted to get another one until I saw how expensive they are now! Don't need a show car but would like a good driver....any of these popping up for sale under 30k anymore?

Unless you run across a seller that is completely unaware of the market (and has no access to the internet) pricing has gotten crazy

it was hit hard and repaired not salvage but the rear quarter and door replaced

I went and looked at one in Baytown last September that the guy sold for 25k with 65k on it .... It was an ok car but had a lot of stuff in it that was not to my taste...body kit and rockers , and it was leaking from the rms like the Valdez.... Ran hard though. Sometimes they are out there but they are going to need some work.

Welcome back. I remember your green '79. Great car, great color. I recently bought this one for 25k '87 930 GPW - Asbury It was in an "agricultural excursion" at a racetrack. PO spared no expense fixing the car, I can't see any evidence of prior damage. Engine 100% stock and all original emission equipment is intact and functional. I think I got a deal, but this isn't a "no stories" car. As others have already mentioned, you won't find much at this end of the market...things have changed.

Good to hear you're thinking of coming back. I always adored your green car, shame you let it go but I get it... BTDT. Hmmmm... you should buy yours back, but @ a discount? Oh wait, that only (somehow??!!??) happens to me  .Shame you didn't wake up and smell the roses prior to - say - the end of last summer. Things have gotten QUITE silly now as you're seeing / as mentioned. Don't use Jake's example as a barometer either... that transaction most definitely benefited by a sympathetic seller to an ultimate cause (Mark-a-thon). Which is butofcourse AWESOME. Just not a good datapoint for you. I knew that silver car had to have a story, it's been FS forever. Shame. There have been a few odd / ends crop up recently in 'affordable' range (mostly high 30s / low 40s) but they need work. Guy in MD on here currently selling a nice light blue one, needs a headstud and some other TLC. Regardless, good luck to you... |

Thanks Paul, I tried a 996 and a Viper in my absence but neither one of them was as fun to drive as the 930!
