What a great find. Wish there was more information. Who assembled it (Porsche, McLaren) or what year/chassis was used (930, 911 M491)?

Would love to drive and hear the sound on that car!

They built a one-of-a-kind twin-turbo 911 and nobody's allowed to drive it? Come on I bet it's insanely fast though.

With that engine...having much more engine than chassis would also be dangerous at best.

My guess after the initial first drives, it was simply parked out of fear(short of Senna or Prost) someone would become toast very quickly.

Totally worthless, not an all original 930 with motor changed and not modded by the Porsche factory in Germany and not EPA or DOT compliant, however I'd consider taking it anyway, if the price were cheap enough.

I dunno, I've been in porsche with close to 4 figure power and they seem to handle it fine...

For sure. Porsche Motorsports developed suspension, brakes and other things way back in time that will bolt right in to handle that type of HP. Of course you must not have just only driven lesser cars or you could get into a world of hurt.

I think this car existed as a myth or legend for many years before seeing the light of day.

Drivable or not, this is pretty awesome and it would look beautiful at my place... I wonder how many street miles it would survive before a multi thousand dollar engine rebuild...

In a standard 930 chassis, I would surmise anything past 450-500HP, the car is getting to the point of being very dangerous when driven at the engines capability past 8/10th's(not just driven in a straight line).

I can't believe unless an ungodly sum of money is thrown at it, a 911/930 chassis with the engine closing in on 1000 HP could be remotely considered safe to drive.

Even at ~ 300HP in stock form, last time I heard, these cars have the reputation as widow-makers.

Really, come on. I've known 930 engines that have made 1000 hp at the crank 20 years ago. Driven them and built them. Some only had a roll bar, some stock body. Ask the mechanic who drove mine and realized he was spinning the tires in 3rd gear over 100 mph. Porsche makes their own serious engines. Look at the Pff Porsche cars.

Ask GJF how he has managed to survive. I think his slantnose makes over 4 figures when he has it cranked up.
