Who wants to produce a west coast PALOOZA?

I'm Jealous. I'd like to go to a turbo palooza but I'm not driving across the nation to do it. I would but I gotta work sometimes.
Can we get a west coast Turbopalooza?
Would we have enough dudes come?

I came up against the dead line and car was and could not be finished in time... But guys please if and when , find a good local track like they did in the east coast .
Half of the parts I bought for my car are from out west so they may be home sick to see there old owners

Thunderhill Race Track in Willows just extended their track to 5 mi. and 27 turns. 2 hrs. north of S.F. Bay Area. The original track is 2.7 and 15 turns. A pretty safe track.

I"m in !! Harold, I've not driven the 5 mile version of TH yet but my understanding is that it's a tight and technical course. Much cheaper for whomever hosts to stick to the 3 mile.. If we want to do TH we should coordinate with NCRC by far the cheapest and most laid back group..

I'm IN! I've been doing these types of get togethers for years for my early cars. The R Gruppe Treffens are always a great excuse to drive long distances over curvy roads to a killer spot.

Northern California is about the best locale in he country for mind bending roads, so would recommend starting there. It is pretty central, meaning it can be reached in a day's drive from San Diego to Seattle, too. Not that you'd want to...I like to take 2-3 days to drive down from Washington.

Turbopalooza Santa Rosa 2015, anyone?

I haven't driven it either, but have heard from a few friends who have. NCRC is one group, Doug Gale is another, or even a open test day could work depending on the schedule.

I gotta admit to being a bit jealous too. T P sounds like a blast. I'd be stoked. Especially if was in Nor-Cal. Any farther south would be tough.

I've driven to SoCal for the early car events. The drive IS the event, or at least a big part of it. Even Vegas is doable. Given my choice, NorCal is where it's at.

So, who wants to step up? My excuse for NOT stepping up is two kids, ages 3 and 18 months. Gimme a few years.

My ears are perked. I don't think I could entice any of youze up here to central WA desert country, but perhaps I could suggest somewhere in Oregon (got some killer roads there as well with hundreds of old covered bridges, waterfalls, wineries, ski resorts, etc to view). I don't know N. Cal. at all, but it's a driveable drive from my humble abode.

I did so badly want to do the T'Palooza at Jacobs in PA, but just could not make it work. Something a bit more local....hmmmmmmmmm!

Mark I am sorry you missed the event I to had the displeasure of sitting on the side lines even after throwing everything I could at my POS.... still came up short
So I am wanting to make a road trip to break in my ride so , might be a little long but maybe there is a prize for longest driver ? Still going to have a beer with you when I up in Seattle hopefully in a few weeks .

But getting together with a bunch of Turbo's and having some fun would be great , cross your fingers ! I guess see what you guys can put together . Track time is at the top of my list so maybe some of you local boys can figure something out Turbos like to stretch there legs so keep that in mind keep us informed

Having driven the new 5-mile track, I'd suggest against this. Combination of extremely hot weather in Willows, old Porsches, turbo lag, tight turns and the technical aspect of the west side have me worried.

I did lots of events in CA when I was younger, the older I get the less south I want to drive.
