FS: K27HF High Flow Turbocharger - remanufactured 0 miles

Normal easy K27 installation.

This engine build could use a lot bigger turbo, so... remanufacture the K27HF and it's up for sale.

$1430 delivered anywhere in the lower 48.

Where would this fit in performance wise between the K27 7006 and the Garrett GT35R?

I can compare it to the K27 7006 and a ball bearing Garret GSX 61 with billet compressor wheel but I've never experienced a GT35R.

I've had both an original 3K K27 7006 and a UMW K27 HF with Holset compressor wheel I bought new and had to have rebuilt twice within 1800 miles.
The second time I had it rebuilt by Durabilt. They machined the erosion in the bearing housing, replaced the shaft and turbine wheel, and VSR balanced it. After that it worked well for what it is without smoking and I sold it after putting very little use on it.
I had around $2700 into the thing by then.

A K27 HF will start making boost around 3 to 400 rpms lower than the K27 7006 because the HF has a smaller hot side housing and smaller hot side turbine wheel then the 7006.

Then from around 4000 RPM on up the 7006 comes on strong and will make more power than the HF because it's larger hot side housing and turbine wheel has less back pressure and lets the engine pump out more of the exhaust gas on each exhaust stroke because of it.
If you have a free flow muffler or zork the 7006 also makes a nice turbo whistle out the exhaust as it spools up and the HF makes no turbo exhaust whistle I ever heard.
The K27 HF is a K27 7200 with a larger cast aluminum Holset Compressor wheel and a compressor cover made in China to fit over it.

The Garret GT35R is a newer more efficient design and it's ball bearing so it's going to spool up faster than any of the journal bearing K27 turbos.

I still have the original shaft and turbine wheel from the UMW K27 HF from before Durabilt rebuilt it.
The shaft is blued from the heat and the journal bearing next to the turbine wheel is eroded and cooked.
