password to log in here

I have a new to me laptop and I have no clue what my log in password here is because my desktop internet browser does it for me and like a dumb .... I never wrote it down.

so now i'm trying to reset my password here so i can log in with my desktop or the laptop and I can't do it.
I've gone through doing it 4 or 5 times now and everytime this place comes back saying your password doesn't match what we have on record...

Does anyone know how to succesfully do this?
I'm pretty close to taking a sledge hammer to this _____ thing and putting it in orbit.

What Internet Browser are you using? I may be able to show you where the passwords are stored.
