How to measure if heads are in stock height?

I dont know stock specks and if my heads have been cut for more compression earlier. So if there is an easy way for instance with a mauser let me hear it. I cant do the calculations for compression, those are way over my head/tools and skills.

My heads are already ported to 38mm so there might have been other optimizations while in there. Strangely, the exhaust valves were not the correct sodium filled ones so the last head job was a bad one , outch. Most of the exhaust guides were leaking after 5kmiles too.
