I am EFI and going with a single GT35R and will be over 500 CHP. I am at 400/400 RWHP with the modded turbo that I have and I am running a G50 that is close to it's limit and will be doing a billet diff cover soon.

Brendon, I wouldn't sweat your stock, cast side cover of your G50, as that is all mine has had forever. Mine dyno'd 431whp when I got it, but trust me, I've picked up a lot more power since, and have not broke it.

I have a new 993 diff cover I've been meaning to put on, as they're a step between the stock cast cover and the full on billet. The 993 cover is about 2X thicker, but still cast.

Good to know.. I have been looking for a G50/02 for a while. Unless I can find a longer final drive. The car is useless in 1st. LOL

Would the early short bellhousing 930 trans hold up? That would be a cheaper option than the g50.

I believe internally they are the same strength, the longer one was to accommodate the dual mass flywheel/PP right?

^^^ Yes.

personally, I notched the tube so I could move the whole engine trans forward. a couple inches with that weight helps with Front/Rear balance a bit.

Now I need to get a bias valve installed for braking, I have a little too much front bias....

It might change under track conditions with trailing brake though.

That's because yer a big ole' stud, Brendon! :)

It won't change on the track. I don't believe the bias valve will work (tried that too). Ideally you need a dual m/c set up. We tried a bunch of things, mixing the pads, running a smaller rear tire (295 vs 315) with 255's on the front. The c2 turbo rear caliper is slightly larger than the 930 rear, but really expensive.

If you went the 930 short bellhousing route you would also skip the extra work of fitting the hydraulic pedal assembly, lines, slave etc.

In the case of the 911 turbo, the bias valve would have to be in the front. Just to opposite for every other car in the world. Usually they have too much front bias. LOL
