Re-assembling exhaust system
I'm about to start putting my new RarelyL8 headers and old muffler back in the car this weekend. I'm curious do I need to use any type of adhesive on the gaskets between the headers and exhaust ports or between the turbo and muffler?

I didn't. No leaks for me. Not sure what Brian recommends though.

I didn't either, I just used the Victor Reinz (did I spell that correctly) gasket and it's all good

It can be a little easier since , if your like me, your on your back trying to line everything up and start the nuts. I used a quick shot of copper gasket spray on the gasket to hold it from falling.

Yes as they say, no sealant is needed but a shot of spray holds it in place for you.

Well I have it all put back together. Just finishing off the rear bumpers and getting ready to re assemble to top side of the motor intercooler & hoses etc. I must say it went back together a lot easier than I thought. And not having heat boxes on the headers make life SO much easier for re installation and looks better too!
Just need to adjust clutch, since I'm down there and install new rear brakes and then take her for a rip! Happy Saturday!! ![]()

They really are a beautiful piece of work. They sound nice too. I'm really happy with them however they are leaking at the slip joints quite a bit. hopefully after some more heat cycles they'll seal up.
