500+ HP What Muffler
I'm doing some research "again" to see what are you guys running 500+ hp are using for mufflers? I've been updating my car in the interior dept and the muffler is next on the agenda.

Juan, been itching to talk to you and sorry to hijack. When you did 139MPH in the 1/4, wasn't that with far less than 720WHP, correct? Just looked at your "Garage" profile, I thought you were around 650FWHP when you did 139?
35PSI of boost?! Wow! What head studs you running? E85 or race gas? Back to your question, I'd imagine you just need a straight-through muffler of your choice. Have heard as high as 1000whp but mostly 750whp being ok with 3". I'd think I'd go 3.5" though at your power levels.

![]() Tippy When you did 139MPH in the 1/4, wasn't that with far less than 720WHP, correct? If I recall correctly 615rwhp Just looked at your "Garage" profile, I thought you were around 650FWHP when you did 139? 35PSI of boost?! Wow! What head studs you running? E85 or race gas? APR head studs on C116 Fuel I'm happy with my current muffler but I don't like how it shows more than half from the back so I'm looking for a cleaner look, this one is 3" be cool to have a 6'' lol

Oh, and XR-1's sound insane! I remember hearing them on a V8 back in the early 90's. It was the best tone I had ever heard.

How much over 500HP?
I don't know what the top end is for power levels that our 3" mufflers will support but they can and do handle 500HP engines. They can also handle more heat than any 304 system, weigh less and have many configuration options. If going over 600hp and using 3.5"+ you will quickly lose the ability to keep it quiet, if that matters. ![]()

Magnaflow, 3" straight through. More canister size = quieter.
Tom's UBER930 ran 3.5" and is shockingly quiet and civilized. It gets more engine noise in the cabin due to solid engine mounts than it gets exhaust noise. Borla XR-1 has a burlier but less smooth exhaust note IMO.

The correct unit / muffler doesn't reflect your dyno figure.
Generally speaking firms / specialists have packages and products tailored to them. That said, some products to a degree can " work " interchangeably. Generally speaking, you should just consult with a few specialists. Discuss if they've a product that matches your present set up or if they can produce a tailor made unit for your specific application. Most who are pretty serious will have something developed and tailor made to their application needs. Good luck -

Juan, you mean this one?
TurboKraft Inc : Sport Modular Muffler - $950.00 If so, it will be back. With the resurgence of "it needs to appear stock or close to stock" we are getting inquiries for this again.
