Yes. 15 is Too rich for off throttle. 18 may be OK. Generally you will see AFR go off scale lean when off throttle. Also check to make sure the fuel cut is enabled. That is, if you want to stop the flames.

Stop the flames, who would want to stop that light show ;) (note to self, tune for 15 on over run and make sure fuel cut is disabled when I get my EFI up and running :) )

this is great, love the build. care to share a link to which intercooler you used? I have an OEM 930 intercooler for my build, but like what you did there. is there anything supporting it in the rear? I also plan on swapping my tea tray out for a duck tail.

Third pic up from the bottom shows an oil line right up against a header primary tube.
Under full boost those header pipes can become red hot after around 5 seconds and that oil line is reinforced rubber hose under the stainless steel braiding. The stainless braiding is only for abrasion resistance and the rubber hose under it will eventually melt or become brittle and probably crack and leak if it isn't moved away a little. You can also wrap the hose with a heat resistant sleeve or protective wrap in that area and secure it in place with stainless steel clamps. |

Fuel Pressure Question
I'd like to ask this question before I make any changes/adjustments to my current fuel pressure setting.
Q: Based on this build, I'm using 30# injectors that were of course set up for a NA engine originally. My fuel pressure is currently set at 36psi, should I be running higher than that while staying below about 10psi of boost? The reason I ask is, while it's not confirmed I'm adding quite a bit of fuel at the top of the tuning cells. I noticed I'm going about 13.5 AFR @ around 5500 RPM and MAP 160. Below 5500 and 155 it keeps up just fine while achieving about 11.2 AFR in the high boost areas. It occured to me that, is it possible my injectors are not keeping up? Maybe I'm just overthinking this and should just try the higher VE numbers... The area in question was at the MAP 155 mark and 5000 RPM and greater. What is your duty cycle on those injectors when things lean out?

If higher numbers don't change AFR's, yes you're out of injector. Scale stops at 255 IIRC.
Check injector calculators online to know what injector you need. Use multiple calculators to get a feel as they vary. |
