The heads are been welded for more "body" around the injector for the 3.2 intake manifolds.

Incredible job -- BUT, even more incredible and spotless garage!
You might want to straighten out the screwdrivers on the rack, though. |

Believe me, I have tried :) |
Why did you put the speedo in the double-instrument hole? Extending the double instrument wires seems like an unnecessary pain in the butt.
Nice build. Looks like 5 of your pistons were a little fat. :D |

The steering wheel have a little bit different position compare to the 911. In this hole you see the the speedo better. Its new cable harness anyway :) Yes, 5 of the piston was just a little fat :) The heaviest was around 5 gram heavy. But now every piston, pin, rod are within 0.1 gram. |

Is you engine case (3.0 - 77, 03) a 1977 3.0 turbo case or a 1978 3.0SC case manufactured in 1977?
Could you have used a 3.0 SC engine case for this build? Rahl |

Its a original 180HP 3.0 engine |
Ok, looks like it is a 1978 MY 3.0L SC engine case. Good to know as I have plans to do something similar and want to use a 3.0L SC case....well similar but on a much smaller scale.

Looking good!

Beautiful...

Very nice work!

Did you really allow that wet Audi to drip on the floor?
I now see the plastic underneath it! Phew, that makes me feel better. :) |

Very nice, the matte black looks so much nicer than the red, yellow, blue, purple, etc I've seen on these engines. Why no twin plug? The little extra $$ will make a big difference in HP and reliability.

The car is red so I though the black design will look good in the engine compartment |
"Itīs not necessary with twin plugs on a turbo engine."
Not as necessary as on a NA engine since turbo has flat top pistons but twin plug allows you to run more boost and back the timing down and make more power vs. single plug. More advanced timing necessary with single plug you have more BMEP with piston coming up vs. going down when you want it right after TDC. Twin plug allows you to retard timing by 10 deg or so to accomplish this since combustion occurs over shorter period of time. Seems a shame to go to all the work necessary with tt and not optimize it. |
Hi. Nice project.
how has it progressed? Have you any experience with MAXXecu yet? |
